Why this budget planner works

It fits on one page. Income at the top, then three honest sections — fixed bills, variable spending, and savings — and a single left-to-spend total at the bottom. No spreadsheet, no app, no logins. Seeing the whole month on one sheet is what makes the numbers finally click.

How to use it

  1. Print the PDF (Letter or A4) at actual size.
  2. Write in your income for the month, then your fixed bills (rent, utilities, subscriptions).
  3. Estimate variable categories like groceries and gas, add a savings line, and check the left-to-spend total.

Do this on the same day you get paid — it turns budgeting from a chore into a five-minute ritual.

Pairs well with: Savings Tracker · Weekly Meal Planner · Cleaning Schedule

Questions

Do I need to be 'good at money' to use this?+

No. If you can fill in what comes in and what goes out, the planner does the rest. It's built to be the gentlest possible on-ramp to budgeting.

Is this a zero-based budget?+

It can be. There's a 'left to spend' line at the bottom — get it to zero for a zero-based budget, or just use it to see where the money is going.
