Why this savings tracker works

Saving is abstract; a page filling with colour is not. You set a goal, assign a value to each square, and colour one in every time you stash that amount. It turns a faraway number into a tiny, repeatable win — and a visible one you can stick on the fridge.

How to use it

  1. Print the PDF (Letter or A4) and write your goal and amount per square at the top.
  2. Every time you save that amount, colour in a square.
  3. When the grid is full, the goal is funded. Start a fresh sheet for the next one.

Pairs well with: Monthly Budget Planner · Habit Tracker · Weekly Planner

Questions

How does the savings tracker work?+

Write your goal at the top, decide what each square is worth (say $10 or $50), and colour one in every time you save that amount. When the grid is full, you've hit your goal.

Can I use it for a sinking fund or debt payoff?+

Yes — it works just as well in reverse for paying something off. Colour a square for each chunk you knock out and the page becomes a progress bar you can see.
