Why this kids reading log works
For children, finishing a book is an achievement — so make it visible and celebrated. Logging each title and colouring in the stars turns reading from a nightly task into a game with a growing scoreboard. Kids reach for the next book to fill the next row, which is exactly the goal.
How to use it
- Print the PDF (US Letter or A4) and keep it with the bedtime books.
- After each book, write the title and date and colour the stars together.
- Watch the page fill. A finished log is a brilliant thing for a young reader to feel proud of.
